How to deal with Yelpers

For those of you who might not be aware of Yelp and the food biz, the website Yelp has become the boogieman that scares the shit out of restaurant owners as well as managers. It has also become the place where bullies can push around food service workers with out ever feeling any repercussions. Not as shitbagcustomers.com ! Here's a yelp review from Brad W, a Scottsdale yelper about Stand Up Scottsdale

UPDATE: Howard likes responding to negative reviews, but he comes off as a whiner and crybaby. Not everybody likes B rate comics and fake tough guy owners who harrass people on social media after leaving a bad review (see below). He thinks I actually entered his club and has got me confused with someone else. Read my review Howie - I never entered your postage stamp sized club. Clueless and he gets his inspiration from Bill Cosby - what does that say about Howard?

Called up a few weeks ago to attempt to make a reservation, but it was a miserable fail. The only reason I had to call was that the reservation system online wasn't taking my coupon code. My suspicion is that since it was a freebie, Howard baited and switched and tried to get people to buy a full priced ticket. Anyway, Howard answered the phone and he sounded drunk or over medicated and mumbled something about how they usually take phone reservation, but not now and then I couldn't understand the rest of what he mumbled. This guy is the Donald Trump of comedy and not in a good way, all show and no go. I attended another show at his old place and he spent 20 minutes making up some stupid story about his fake girlfriend and texting and another god awful unfunny rant about the freeway shooter.
This is the first comedy club in history to downsize. Once the tourists leave, this place will be a ghost town again. He already blew 150K of his investors money and failed before. It's only a matter of time before this place bottoms out as well.

You see most executives might worry about a review like this, they might even give the workers a write up or even fire some of the staff. Howard Hughes the owner of Stand Up Scottsdale responds like this...

"3/20/2016  UPDATE TO THIS LOSER, here's a message he just sent me via yelp:
Brad W.
You got the wrong guy dumbass. Read my review. I never even entered your crappy club. Stop hitting the bottle so much from PTSD and actually read my words. BTW nobody reads the owner comments, they only read the actual review.

Hard to believe the level of tool this tard is.

Original response:
Brad, you are crushing on me hard!
Super creepy.

To the Reader, this crushing, stalkerish review speaks for itself.
In short, this loser came in on a date; he was a creep and I got into him...he ran out, leaving his date behind...went home and yelped!

If you think this is the type of person you'd want to hang with in any place, much less a comedy club, do not come to this comedy club.  He should be embarrassed of his behavior but I'm certain he's not...I'm sure his cats gave him comfort through the night.

To his ridiculous review, no, Brad, there is no conspiracy against you and your coupon.  You're a nerd; a loser and a coward.

Reader, consider our reviews...look at the people who seem to enjoy us and then look at the few who haven't...i think its pretty clear which group is the more fun, reasonable group.  This guy has been creeping on me since the first Bar Rescue episode...at least he had the stones to come in to the club, just not the courage of his conviction to address me directly when he had the chance.  Be embarrassed, Brad...your date was.

We take all sorts of coupons, however, once the show gets down to the last 20 or so available seats, we have to sell those at full value (its contractual stuff)...if you have this type of ticket, just make your reservation early and there is zero issue.  However, to be honest, I can imagine giving someone like this attitude on the phone; one gets the feeling for a type you'd just rather not have in the club.

Reader, if you think brad here a reasonable reviewer, we're probably not the club for you.  However, if you think its weird that a guy has 1200 plus reviews, writes an emotionally charged, personal review of me (ill bet he has a picture of me in his wallet--he seems like an oldschool creeper ;-), and comes off as the kind of guy you wouldn't want to be in any social situation with (outside of maybe comic con or a lord of the rings reenactment group), then WE ARE YOUR CLUB!
We are the highest rated club in the valley 5 years running for a reason!  Its because we care about the guests, their experience, and comedy.  We work hard to put together a show that creates value, both comedically and financially, for our guests...and the preponderance of the reviews show this.  Brad here is a loser who gets his power from yelp; he's the type of yelper even yelp hates because his emotions (and tv, in this case) get the better of him.
I look forward to having you in the club...and thank you, brad, for the review; I promise you, you've gotten us more new guests because of your review...and for those that read this and think, "Im with Brad", we thank you in advance for not coming in and blowing our good time ;-)
